Block exchange 2010: SHOES!!!

Every year we do a quilt block exchange centered around a certain theme.  2010's theme was shoes.  All of the blocks are done on the same background fabric.  Every August we exchange blocks and its up to us to put them together!

Carolyn's shoe quilt turned out so dang cute!! (ps-the brown spot on the bottom is from the camera, not on the quilt)
WHO ELSE IS DONE???

Bullseye: started in January 2011

Grab some scraps and a few circular objects from your kitchen to get the pattern for this quilt!  Anything goes and boy did we get some fun ideas out of this quilt

The inspiration from Jacee: these bullseye squares were not cut

Here is a look at Karen's cut Bullseye squares

See it only matters that the center points match up!

Karen again!
Cherie's Bullseye!
Kjaristy's Bullseye...some are cut and some are not!
Nicole's Bullseye...not cut circles...

Here is Alicia's twist:  Check it out! Trees from the Bullseye and it was all done out of old clothes.

Garden of Eatin' Spring 2011 table runner

Miss Jodi's creation
Nicole's Table Runner: Not bound yet, but still on the table looking cute!

What you need:
1 yard of main rectangle background fabric
1/4 yard for border
1/4 yard for binding, trim and flower centers
scraps for stems and leaves
larger scraps for flower petals

Cut your main rectangle piece 13x45 use the rest for backing
black trim around the main rectangle is 1 1/4 inches wide
flower stems are 1/2 inch wide of varying lengths; the longest here is 21 inches
pattern for petals and center of flower can be your own!

Tips on the petals: use a light interfacing to help them be a little more 3-D
Miter your corners of your trim fabric and border fabric

A twist on this pattern would be to line your flowers in a row horizontally across the table runner
