Garden of Eatin' Spring 2011 table runner

Miss Jodi's creation
Nicole's Table Runner: Not bound yet, but still on the table looking cute!

What you need:
1 yard of main rectangle background fabric
1/4 yard for border
1/4 yard for binding, trim and flower centers
scraps for stems and leaves
larger scraps for flower petals

Cut your main rectangle piece 13x45 use the rest for backing
black trim around the main rectangle is 1 1/4 inches wide
flower stems are 1/2 inch wide of varying lengths; the longest here is 21 inches
pattern for petals and center of flower can be your own!

Tips on the petals: use a light interfacing to help them be a little more 3-D
Miter your corners of your trim fabric and border fabric

A twist on this pattern would be to line your flowers in a row horizontally across the table runner
